Ruin Roman Gate London Wall 01
3D model (requires WebGl capable browser)
The remains of the West Gate of the Roman fort of London are now under the road of London Wall and was built c.AD 120.
It was preserved within a side room of a car park in this location and can be accessed on certain days through events held by the Museum Of London.
The gate consisted of two arched entrance ways between two towers of which only the northern tower now remains.
In one corner of the surviving tower the hole that took the gate posts can bee seen.
